Why Octacore Smartphones Are a Gimmick

  • antutu is not a real test if there is no multitasking happening at the same time, have 5 heavy apps while running antutu and the octacore managed to pass antutu with good score then i might believe octacore is not a waste

Uhum..

Harharhar.

    Have a good day.
  • i said apps, please read first before blabbering tales of nonsense thoughts. its stupid of you to think that someone can play 5 games on a single screen at the same time.

  • Ow. I see. Now you are making sense. Dearest sensei: Games obviously fall under apps, unless you can prove that games do not make use of codes. Or.. You are talking about the real volleyball or basketball outside the cellphone screen?

With all your due respect - For the sake of making you look not stupid (ikaw tinawag mo na agad akong stupido), for I truly believe you are a genius, I will go alongwith your "so-called heavy apps definition".

So you will be using 5 all the the same time. Suppose:
    1. Photoshop for an hd photo
    2. Browser with 14 tabs (omg)
    3. Watching a full hd video
    4. Editting an hd video
    5. Name it.

That does not change the fact that you have two eyeballs focused to only one thing, does it? And will you be seriously doing that using an octacore smart phone with five-point multitouch screen? Truth be told, I think no one will enjoy watching movie and editting another simultaneously. Then again, a skeptic and multi-tasking crazed as you supposedly claims you are, I hope you will enjoy running and using all those apps at the same time.
  • Editted. Double post.

  • as ive pointed out on my foremost posts, multitasking in an octacore phone wil be great if it can for example extract a rar file, download a torrent ,run an antivirus app convert a video into a different format those four can be minimized on background while playing a game then octacore is not a gimmick, why does it need to do all those things at once?to save time so you dont need to do things one thing at a time, and why should they run this test?to justify why quadcore windows pc can do this test easily while an octacore phone cant?and theyll say the os its not optimized to do this much work like how pc do it,then why are they multiplying cores if they havent optimized the os yet to maximize the power of the cores, and its because you laughed at my comment cause you cant comprehend that much

  • For android OS which is based from linux you have atleast 2GB to achieved real multitasking like symbian does before many years ago.

Malamang mali yung configuration mo.

    <click here for link>

As for the Octa core Mobiles I hope they will assign exclusive cores to system tasks para walang lag.
