I am here in Singapore and i am selling Xiaomi Redmi Note na binili ko dito at pinadala ko na sa Laguna so when i had a buyer from Cebu, ni-request ko tatay ko to ship the phone using LBC. Bad trip na bad trip ako kasi binebenta kong sealed and brand new in box yun.

Buti na lang the buyer was understanding and i requested him to verify with lbc near to him kung talagang requirement nila ito.
  • I think required po talaga yan even sealed and brand new yung package. It would be impractical for a local courier to implement xray scanners mahal at marami silang branch.
  • Standard po ba talaga yan across all couriers fedex,dhl,air21,JRS,xend?

Siguro naman pwede magrequest na maglagay sila ng note sa resibo that they received the phone in a sealed box at sila ang nag-open for inspection?
  • Sa LBC one time nagpadala ako from Manila to province, pinabuksan sa akin yun sealed box ko, then gusto pati i ON daw yun unit at di na ako pumayag, I then went to another LBC branch na di naman ako nirequire i ON yun unit.
HAHAHAHA.
  • Para saan at kelangan nila i-turn on yung unit? Curious lang sila? Buti di nagreklamo yung pinagpadalhan nyo.
  • standard yan. imagine kung hindi bubuksan yan, maraming shabu and other drug dealers na magpapadala ng ganyan style.
  • Suggestion: take photos of the unsealed box, and inform ahead the buyer that the item is sealed but will be opened by the courier staff before it would be accepted for shipping. Pagdating sa courier center, ask permission to take photos as they inspect the package. If they object, mag-rebut na you will not take take shots of their faces for their privacy, iyon lang talagang pag-open and inspection nila ng box since the receiver was expecting that it was a sealed item. Then email the pics to the buyer.

It won't hurt to inform ahead, and ask permissions if needed. Ask nicely, too.

I sometimes send laptops or phones to friends/family through LBC from abroad pero di nila ino-open ang boxes ng sealed items. But then, merong equipment sa airports to check kung ano ang laman ng airfreight.

  • Thanks zamera for the suggestion! I was initially thinking to request the lbc staff to include a note in the lbc delivery invoice that they received the package in sealed condition and that lbc staff were the ones who opened it for inspection. Then i will send a copy of that invoice to the buyer. Pero your suggestion seems good, too. Of course i would have to inform the buyer of this courier requirement and have him accept this before proceeding to have the package shipped.

Kaya dahan-dahan at with care sa packaging.
