Medyo proliferate na OTG systems to add to mobile storage so curious ako - ano prefered mode niyo:
* usb flashdrive + micro/ mini usb adapter/ builtin plug;
* microsd + microsd reader w/ mini/microsd adapter
How why etc opinions welcome ...

Antagal ko na gumagamit ng microsd card reader, hindi naman nasisira sd card ko. I use it to transfer files and watch movies.

^ what do you mean? Hindi namsn kailangann ng root. Ang kailangan mo ay bumili lang ng otg device or reader. Hindi gagana yung micoro usb to usb adaptor, kailangan may otg function bago gagana.

Sony Xperia saka mga high end Samsung may usb otg support, yung mga Myphone din may full otg support, you have option pa nga pagkasalpak mu ng external drive, may magpopop up na option kung gusto mu gawing primary storage yung external drive,yun lang di mu dapat gawing default storage kasi nga external sya saka malakas makadrain ng battery.

that's what i heard. need to root pa daw if ever hindi otg capable ang unit.
'why i'm asking if may other options na no need to root pa my device para maging otg capable ang unit ko

If your device do not support otg, then you have no other choice since the manufacturer doesn't want it to support that feature.
