How to unlock pattern lock on an Android phone (GoogleNexus)

  I need your help mga sirs/mams.
  
  I have an android phone (Google Nexus) that can't be opened because of the pattern lock on screen. A relative died and we want to retrieve his phone book contacts, pictures, messages etc. Sudden cardiac arrest due to heart problem. We can't contact some of his friends like those abroad and some school friends.
  
  We want to retrieve all data so a hard reset is not an option. By the way the google nexus has no SD card memory. Only the built-in one.
  
  The details of the phone:
  
  1. USB debugging not enabled.
  2. WIFI not enabled
  3. 3G not enabled.
  
  I can't access the drop down menu to activate wifi and 3G mobile data so we can log in to his google account when the pattern tries reach a certain number.
  
  Pwede sana ma access ang google account nya kasi we have the password. But how can we do it, nakapatay wifi and 3G?
  
  How can we possibly turn on wifi or 3G without the drop down menu?

  Alam ko factory reset lang paraan para ma unlock yung pattern lock kaso burado lahat yung contacts pati files sa internal storage. Anu ba phone nya ts?

  You can try logging in on a different phone and see if you can sync his contacts etc, provided he enabled syncing. Pwede kaya yun?

  Pwede yun kung naka sync yung contacts nya sa gmail. Log in sa other phone tapos sync contacts.

  We have the google account and password.
  
  Kung nag back up sya sa CLOUD, pede makuha ulit mga messages pag nag "device backup" using that google account? or dapat same model smartphone?

  factory reset .boot in recovery mode .. wipe data .

  kung naka sync sa cloud service (ex. dropbox yung photos nya)
  
  i sign in yung dropbox account na ginamit nya sa ibang phone para ma retrieve pa yung mga photos.
  
  na try nyo na po isaksak phone nya sa pc kahit disabled and usb debugging? di na ba talaga na detect sir?

  Na detect ang android phone sa pc windows explorer pero hindi ma open contents, blanko lang. Ganito din ang result if I inserted my samsung phone while it is pattern screen locked.
  
  I guesss the USB debugging option is not enabled/checked. Sino naman common user naisip na i-on yun diba?

  But the link you provided will delete everything right? Walang SD card slot ang google nexus phone (not tablet). all memory built-in
