  Quick question po.
  
  I rooted my orbit and installed titanium backup. I then froze the dafault launcher and installed launcher pro. e nababagalan ako. i uninstalled the launcher pro, then restarted the phone. nakalimutan kong i "defroze" ung default launcher. ngayon, stuck sa startup screen ung orbit ko. i tried reflashing the old rom (update1.zip) from the cherry mobile orbit page. pero same pa rin. what do i do??? hindi naman sya bricked. pero i think the problem is hindi nya ma load ung launcher.... please please help.... thanks!

  sa mga may problem rooting kasi hindi makita ng pc yung orbit, download the android adb driver then kapag nakakabit na yung phone to pc via usb, update the driver. Your PC should be able to detect your unit now.

  Hi all, any idea sa problem ng phone ko at kung maayos pa...
  bigla na lang hindi na gumagana ung mga softkeys, as in wala akong matandaan na nangyari sa kanya, nasa bulsa ko lang.
  i dont think i have warranty because i got it used from a seller here.

  Grabe. Naka ilang malls na ako pinuntahan para maghanap ng spare battery ng orbit, pero lahat walang available. :-(

  Wala naman saking phantom taps.
  Battery life is so-so. Pero heavy caller & internet user kasi ako, lahat na binili kong phones before binilhan ko rin ng spare batteries.
  Typical sakin ang ma batt empty pagdating ng 5pm, before on my samsung b7320 aabutin pa ako hanggang midnight.

  Thanks feistyfeeble, last time kasi may nakita ako orbit na binebenta, pag test ko, nag phantom taps agad, simula nun di pa ko nakatingin ulit....

  I've read kasi a few pages back na, kailangan i-turn on&off ang phone kapag nag phantom taps. So ang ginagawa ko, turn on&off every morning. ^_^

  what i love about the orbit is pwede ko siya gawing hotspot kaya nasshare ko net connection ko anytime.
  
  phantom taps can be solved by updating from the Cherrymobile site and unticking the haptic feedback, and making sure na walang finger prints sa screen.
  
  battery problems naman can be addressed by installing juice defender, turning off wifi/bluetooth if not in use and unchecking background synching/gps/data connection

  for those who are thinking of buying this sorry excuse for a phone, here's an unsolicited piece of advice, DON'T!
  
  mula ng bilhin ko to last june, tatlong malaking problema na na-encounter ko.
  
  nang wala pang dalawang buwan to sa akin, biglang ayaw mag-on after na-charge ko. pinaayos ko dahil warranty pa. nang kinuha ko, gumagana lang siya ng maayos more or less isang buwan then nawala ang vibration. mga ilang lingo din to nagkaganon. sabi ko, kaya pa namang gamitin kahit walang vibration. then biglang bumalik ang vibration ng wala akong ginawa. so hindi natuloy na ibalik ko sa cherry mobile. then wala pang isang buwan, biglang ayaw gumana ng camera. this was 2 weeks ago. hanggang ngayon, wala pa ring camera. so ibabalik ko to sa cherry mobile para ipaayos na naman less than 5 months sa huli kong papaayos, at less than 7 months after binili ko siya.
  
  not to mention na subrang bagal pa. halos hindi responsive and screen kahit mag-navigate ka lang. pinalitan ko na nga ang launcher ng zeam, halos ganon pa rin. lalo na kung paglalaruan mo ng 3d games. hindi nga playable ang original angry birds. quadrant score niya ay 160 nga lang. ilang beses na muntik kong wasakin tong phone na to. and lastly the annoying phantom taps. hay, bw*s*t.
  
  kahit nga sa presyo, talo na ang orbit ng galaxy y. ang advantage nga lang niya ay ang dual sim, ang dobleng resolution, at ang .2 inch advantage ng screen. pero sa iba, ang layo ng difference.
  
  gusto ko nga bumili ng cherry pad turbo, pero bad trip na ako sa cherry mobile.
  
  dalawa lang ang pinagpala ko sa pagbili ng orbit na ito, FRUSTRATION and REGRET.

  Sana may list ng mga users na may phantom taps at list ng mga walang nag ooccur na phantom taps... yan kasi ang issue na pumipigil sakin sa pagbili...

  back in Sept. kasi sino ba magaakalang may matinong android na 6k, kaya bilihan kagad. e ngayon nagkalat ang mga bagong android masmura pa sa 6k at malayo sa performance ng cherry.
  
  ok lang, naisahan tayo ng cherry ngayon. pero yung mga ganyang banat nila babalik din sa kanila. defective kasi talaga yung Orbit.

  Mga bros, pahelp naman dyan. I have an orbit (purchased last june 4) with 2gb of micro sd. The unit have never been opened and have never been dropped kaya lang me konti gasgas sa top left side Hawak ko kc ung unit nung masagi ko ung wall namin. hehehe. Wala naman pong problem sa unit. Meron pa po till June 2012 ung warranty.
  
  2 months na po kasing hindi nagagamit and nasa box lang. Kung meron po sanang interested, im selling it at 3.5k lang; complete po yung accessories. Salamat po ng marami. Medyo kapos lang po sa pangtustos sa buhay.

  However I do not see any clear advantages on the risk that I took

  Some things That I noticed when I moved into the Official Gigabyte Gsmart ROM "GSmart _G1310_V0.50.1_PL_CZ"
  
  -Slightly faster boot-up time
  -On-screen End call button is smaller
  -If you receive an SMS on either SIM 1 or 2 and responded it will automatically send your response from what SIM you received the original SMS, previously you are still prompted on what SIM card you want to send your message
  -Auto screen brightness is more to my liking, if it is dark it goes on full dim unlike previously that you still end up with mid brightness even on a dark lighting condition
  -I still experience Phatom taps
  -Battery life seems to remain the same

  Moving your Cherry Mobile Orbit to a Gigabyte Gsmart G1310 ROM (Instructions could potentially work with Stellar to G1345 as well)
  
  DISCLAIMER: DOING THIS PROCEDURE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE ON WHATEVER HAPPEN TO YOUR PHONE,BUT I WILL TO THE BEST OF MY TIME & EFFORT HELP.
  
  Pre-requisites
  -A fully Rooted Unit (for this guide it would Be Cherry Mobile Orbit), refer to previous postings on how to get this done
  -Root file Explorer or any similar tool (I used ES Explorer)
  -Latest Gigabyte ROM from <click here for link> (Used "GSmart _G1310_V0.50.1_PL_CZ")
  
  
  1.) Open up your Root File explorer tool and make sure it has full superuser permissions (Es Explorer>Settings>Root Explorer checked) so that you will be able to modify 2 files that we would be doing later on.
  2.) We need to modify 2 files on your unit "/System/build.prop" & "/system/etc/sw_ver.txt"
  
  For "/system/etc/sw_ver.txt" we need to modify the line "BUILD_SW_PROJ=" to indicate the proper build coming from the new ROM.
  
  E.g. For Cherry Mobile Orbit

  BUILD_SW_PROJ=PL_CZ

  
  
  
  For "/System/build.prop" we need to modify quite a number of variables to match Official Gigabyte ROM Brand Model coming from the new ROM.
